CHORUS Oh the sky from your window In the mid afternoon; honey dreams and vertigo, waiting for the moon Did the rainy day dreams tell Two swallows make a summer? How many lives will you live When the hope of me has flown? CHORUS Did the smokey dusk dreams say? Love can dance to any tune? How many songs will you sing When my words have gone? CHORUS Did the city light dreams warn Of bridges burning at both ends? How many angels will tempt you When the smell of me has left you? CHORUS

Second Wind 04:34
Second wind blows the migrant sparrow bound to its destiny. The arrow through the heart of the compass in my palm swivels round and round. Second wind is blowing on a wing and prayer Second wind blows shattering stone layer on layer on the wailing wall. The worry dolls shelter chattering charms under my pillows. Second wind is blowing a storm in my cups. Second wind blows a galaxy of borderlines across unsettled lives. The panes on my windows shimmer with crescent moons and a phantom sun. Second wind is blowing my fictions away. Second wind blows a wise bubble from mouth to belly of the frail dreamer. Blind love reads me from north to south in brail Second wind is blowing fireflies in my twilight eyes.

You were stranded and I offered you a lift home It was rainy and cold the changing of the seasons On a dark dark September night We were listening to the band they were rocking through the night It was rainy and cold we stood a little closer On a dark dark September night We were dancing to the band we were spinning all around It was rainy and cold and our spinning getting wilder On a dark dark September night The rhythm of the beats and the fiddles and the flutes kept us ging all night and our spinning getting wilder On a dark dark September night Until the rhythm and the groove just stopped And I just spiralled right into your arms And you held me there a creature caught in a web Your arms wrapped around me you just held me there Sitting high up in a tree waiting for the sun to set Sky turns to pink the moons shines on water Dusk turns to dark Owls hooting in the trees moon shining on the sea See the northen star the plough is swaying and dancing Dusk turns to dark Lying naked in a room with a view looking out to sea So many cups of tea shutting out the real world its a twilight calm Give me just one more kiss before I get in my car And drive away I have to go down that bumpy track I don't want to go I just want the world to stop And I'll just spiral right into your arms And you'll just hold me there a creature caught in a web Your arms wrapped around me you'll just hold me there CHORUS My first taste of you And the whole wide world disappears from view My first taste of you And I lose myself in your eyes blue My first taste of you And its blowing a 9 force gale outside My first taste of you All day in a bed in a room with a view Long long long waves breaking on the shore Walking home in the dark Shifting sand see the moon rise Turning everything to monochrome Its a black and white movie Never never ending CHORUS Riding out our ow storm crashing waves of passion Waves of emotion delirious satisfaction Shutting out the real world looking at a log fire Eating and a drinking fucking and a loving CHORUS

Then that tumbling Then that tumbling Then that tumbling Ice cracked or bushy trap Reflected in decoy ground Surrendered the two bodies The that lift shall fall Then that tumbling Then that tumbling Then that tumbling I was not alone I was not alone I was not alone On the other hand perhaps gravity suddenly did not prevail The world simply fell away from us fell away from us Then that tumbling Then that tumbling Then that tumbling Does my memory fail? Does my memory fail? Does my memory fail? Was it an astral weightless bliss place Or a hot line shoot to underworld space who was witness where specs are not of stars but magma friction? Then that tumbling Then that tumbling Then that tumbling Yes I hear now Say you did not fall On the other hand perhaps the laws of physics will suddenly prevail Then that tumbling Then that tumbling Then that tumbling I was more than one tumbling I was more than one tumbling I was more than one tumbling Dangerous at speed of darkness Mass times two fell then blackout Was it a bottom or top Ceiling of the world Was it a bottom or top Ceiling of the world

about

This album is still in the making. We are all locked in our houses. All gigs, performances and social gatherings cancelled until further notice. We are only allowed to go out once a day for essentials like food, medicine exercise and work if we cannot work from home. It is a global pandemic of an extremely infectious virus covid 19 that has stopped the world in its tracks. I sincerely hope that we can build a better world as we recover from this experience.

In the process of backing up my hard drives (which I never normally have time to do) I have found songs I'd written 20 years ago that I had forgotten about completely. There seemed to be a theme of looking out of windows at the sky, at the moon and then of course many love songs.

So I am adding to this collection as I record the songs. Hoping that it will bring some joy into this very strange physical isolation that we all find ourselves in. Wishing you love and gentle thoughts and hope you keep safe during this time.
