lyrics
Cyfrinach yw llinach y lli,
sy’n tasgu, heb gysgu
anhunedd gobenyddion
a’u plu’n dianc dros ddibyn;
matresi’n troi a throsi,
cyn trwmgysgu’n y dŵr llonydd.
Wedi suo siglo llawn huodledd
tewi a wna wedi’r tywallt.
Mor frwd yw’r sgwd, hi
a fyn ysgwyd osgo’r graig
i berlewyg. Hi, a’i mwclis
o berlau’n troi’n swdenni
yn syn oddi tani, hi,
wylia ein rhyfeddod tu ôl i’w llen .
Syllwn yn hir arni’n ei brys
i rannu celwydd golau
islais ei goslef wrth ffrydio
straeon y bu’n storio
ers Oes yr Iâ, a diddan ydym
o lathredd aruthrol ei dathliad.
Sut y llwyddwyd i oroesi holl groeso
ei chri wrth inni fynd, wysg ein cefnau
drwy fwswg a chen, gadael ‘ craig ffarwel’,
a’r helfa drysor am dduwch trwch o lo.
Onid man gwyn yw’r man draw:
Anniwall ei diferion
i’n byd diedifar am ddim?
Anadlwn ennyd o ana’l hir,
dychwelyd wedi ein naddu
o’r newydd gan Nant Llech:
a’n llechi ninnau’n lân.
Awn at y giât gusan, â gwefusau gwig yn cwrdd,
o un i un, wedi’n cyffwrdd, awn
gan daflu ar hap goelbren--
Glania ar wib,
mor wynfydedig ag erioed.
Henrhyd Falls, Coelbren
The water’s source, a spilling
secret splashes. Sleepless
bolster, a fidget of feathers
freed, unfurls from verge.
A mattress, hurled, flip-flops, falls
fast asleep. Still waters run deep,
pool silent from the surge.
How fervent the fall that shakes
the rocks’ conviction, has the floor,
seduces sandstone with her string
of pearls. All grit gripped
in wonder from behind her veil.
And we too burnish her rush,
recall tall tales.
The inflection of her rivulets trickle
like stories thawed
from an Ice Age, and we bathe
in her lustre of bliss.
So, why do we turn from her welcome in the hillside
with backs to the dampening moss?
Bid farewell to Craig Ffarwel,
hunt for diamonds in the shadows of coal?
And aren’t the stars always just out of reach?
quenchless droplets
for a world without care?
We draw on our breath
to find the way back,
hewn anew by Nant Llech-
her slate stream flow, our own clean slate;
and reach the kissing gate,
where lips in thicket meet.
One by one we’re shifted,
pitch our lot, Coelbren,
at full-pelt,
Forever blessed.

Recorded on the Grecian isle of Hydra, this is blissed-out psych pop with stacked falsetto harmonies and luscious arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 9, 2023
Two dozen 12-string acoustic improvisations that feel undeniably haunting, like lost transmissions from ancient Appalachia, rediscovered. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 17, 2022
